Jesup - Josephine M. Fliss, 82 years old of Rock Falls, Illinois, and formerly of Jesup, IA, died Tuesday, December 26, 2006, at Bluff Terrace Care Center, Clinton, IA, following a lengthy illness. She was born July 14, 1924, at Fairbank, IA, the daughter of Joseph Levendusky and Rosemary (Necker) Levendusky. On August 6, 1952, she was united in marriage to John Henry Fliss in East Dubuque, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 12, 1985.
Mrs. Fliss is survived by 1 daughter, Jane (Jeff) Melendres of Rock Falls, Illinois, 1 son Charles R. (Denise) Fliss of Bertram, TX and 5 grandchildren. In addition to her husband she is preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, John, and 2 brothers, Dale Levendusky and Robert Levendusky.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. – Friday, December 29, 2006, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, with burial at Cedar Crest Cemetery, Jesup, IA.
