JESUP --- Janis M. Schmidt, 69, of Jesup, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, following a brief illness.
She was born Aug. 7, 1938, in Webster City, daughter of Max A. and Irene Miller Adair. On Dec. 19, 1965, she married Roger Fred Schmidt at Linden United Methodist Church in Waterloo.
Mrs. Schmidt graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1957. She was a homemaker and had worked at Wal-Mart, Independence, as a cashier for 10 years.
Survivors include: her husband; and two daughters, Lyn and Bobbie Schmidt, both of Jesup.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, Jesup, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at White Funeral Home, Jesup, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.
