VINTON --- Averil "June" Wolf Jr., 81, of Vinton, formerly of Brandon, died Sunday, Feb. 10, at Virginia Gay Annex, Vinton, following a long illness.
He was born Sept. 29, 1926, in Brandon, son of Averil H. and LaVera M. Smith Wolf. He graduated from the Jesup High School in 1944, and had served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 until 1946. He was a self employed trucker and also drove a school bus for the Independence School District.
Survived by: a sister, Darlene Sloan of Independence.
Graveside services: 10 a.m. Thursday at Brandon Cemetery, Brandon. Public visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Independence.
