Dominick Michels, age 77, passed away Thursday morning at his home, here, after an illness of nine weeks. Born in Kenosha, Wis., he came to Iowa at the age of three years and has lived in the vicinity of Hazelton ever since, moving into the town of Hazelton eleven years ago. His wife and the following children survive: Mrs. Anna Philips, Dunkerton; Mrs. Mary Burke, Oelwein; William Michels, Stanley; Mrs. Gertrude Birchard, Hazelton; Mrs. Elizabeth Russell, Oelwein; Rapahel Michels, Otterville; Mrs. Louise Hoffman, of Freemont, O.; Andrew Michels, Stanley; Mrs. Agnes Roth, of Waterloo; Lawrence Michels, Stanley; thirtyfour grandchildren and two great grandchildren, also the following brothers; Wil, of Gilbertville, Edward and Peter of Stanley, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Cullinan, Independence; Mrs. Lena Nitsch, of Denver, Colo.; and Mrs. Anna Hull, of Minnesota. Funeral Services were held from the St. Mary's Catholic church Saturday morning, January 21, 1939 at 10 0'clock. Burial in the Hazelton Cementary.
