Hazleton - Robert S. Juchem, 77, of Hazleton, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.
Prayer services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, at Trinity United Methodist church in Hazleton.
Robert was born June 14, 1930 in Passic, N.J., the son of Jay and Wilma(Schultz) Juchem. He enlisted in the United States Army on Feb. 14, 1947, in Elizabeth, N.J., and served until he was honorably discharged on Jan. 31,1950 in Ft. Dix, New Jersey. He married Nancy Ann Whittman on Oct. 28, 1950 in Elizabeth.
He is survived by his wife Nancy of Hazleton; three sons; Robert Juchem of Reno, Nev., Ronald Juchem of Hershey, Penn., and Richard Juchem of Hazleton; a daughter, Deborah Potter of Hazleton; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Cedar Valley Hospice in Robert's name.
