McGREGOR - Deborah S. Dickey, 49, formerly of Winthrop, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, at Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital, Prairie du Chien, Wis., after a sudden illness.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at the Fawcett Funeral Home in Winthrop with burial in Fremont Township Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 until 7 p.m. Wednesday and anytime Thursday at the funeral home.
Deborah Sue Dickey was born April 18, 1958 at Independence, Iowa the daughter of Kenneth and Patricia Reed Peck. She graduated from East Buchanan in 1976. She received her Bachelors degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. Deb married Michael "Mick" Dickey on Sept. 21, 1985 at the Peck farm north of Winthrop. She worked 20 years as a juvenile social worker at the Crawford County Human Services until health forced her retirement.
Survivors include her husband Mick Dickey of McGregor; her daughter Michala Dickey of McGregor; two stepchildren, Jay (Tatiana) Dickey of Madison, Wis., and Shelly (Colin Johnson) Dickey of Ireland; two step grandchildren; her brother David (Jody) Peck of Winthrop; and many other relatives and friends.
