LAMONT - A funeral service for Dorothy Streicher, 80, of Lamont, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Strawberry Point, with burial in the Strawberry Point cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Roberson Funeral Home, Strawberry Point.
Dorothy passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester, after a long battle with cancer.
Dorothy Louise (Fredrick) Streicher was born to Louis and Minnie (Nodurft) Fredrick on June 11, 1927 in Strawberry Point, Iowa. She married Ernest Streicher in Strawberry Point on Dec. 17, 1947. Together they farmed for 59 years.
She is survived by her husband, Ernie of Lamont; a daughter Barb of Ames; five grandchildren; and a brother Floyd and (Beth) of Aurora, Colo.
