INDEPENDENCE - Craig L. Makepeace, 46, of Independence, died Monday, Nov. 19,2007, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, following a short illness.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, at the White Funeral Home in Independence. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 7 p.m. at the conclusion of visitation. Burial will be at a later date in the Cremation Garden at Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence.
He was born Oct. 22,1961, in Provo, Wash., the son of Leonard and Beverly (Carel) Makepeace. He attended school in. Vancouver, Wash. On May 19, 1984, he and the former Tonya Lynn Fakler were married in Vancouver. At the time of his death, Mr. Makepeace was a supervisor at Pries Enterprises in Independence.
Survivors include his wife, Tonya, and his three daughters, Tara, Brittani and Ariel, all at home; his mother, Beverly Makespeace of Independence; and three brothers, Jeff (Sherry) of Tuscaloosa, Ala, and Mark and Brian (Felicia), both of Indepencence.
