INDEPENDENCE - Sheila R. Cool, 59, of Shorewood, Minn., formerly of Independence, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007, at her home following a sudden illness.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at the White Funeral Home in Independence, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Independence.
She was born Oct. 8, 1947, in Independence, the daughter of Carl Howard and Eleanor Margaret (Kimm) Wayson. She graduated from Independence High School in 1965. On June 25, 1977, she and William Douglas Cool were married in Cedar Rapids. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, William; one son Joshua Wilkinson of Long Beach, Calif.; one daughter Stephanie (Mike) Cabalka of Independence; one grandson; her mother, Eleanor Wayson of Cedar Rapids; and two sisters, Sharon (John) Herman of Waterloo and Cheryl (Greg) Dopson of Kansas City, Mo.
