LAMONT - Warren "Dean" Sullivan, 72, died at his home Thursday, June 21,2007, after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 25, at Grace United Methodist Church in Lamont, with inurnment in Campton-Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date.
Friends may call from 2 until 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the Leonard-Muller Funeral Home & Crematory in Strawberry Point,and after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church.
Dean was born March 19, 1935, at, Iowa City, to Leo and Lelia Sullivan of Lamont. He married Virginia Cornwell on Sept. 25, 1955 at Independence. He served in the Army from 1957 to 1959. Dean was a truck driver for various companies then farmed south of Lamont. He was also employed by Exide Battery in Manchester from 1977 until retiring in 1996.
Survivors include his wife Virginia; two sons, John (Becky) Sullivan of Manchester and Jim Sullivan of Strawberry Point; one daughter, Deb (Tom) Paris of Masonville; eight grandchildren; three brothers, Don (Linda) of Winthrop, Loren (Lorna) of Quasqueton and Clarence (Delores) of Monticello; a sister-in-law, Jean Sullivan of Quasqueton; and a brother-in-law, Glen Cornwell of Bagley, Wis.
