TUCSON - Frank Roepke, formerly of Aurora, passed away Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, in Tucson.
Graveside services were held Friday, Sept. 14 in Tucson in Evergreen Cemetery, where his wife Norma (March 14, 1933 - April 4, 2007) is also laid to rest. Evergreen Mortuary and Cemetery was in charge of arrangements. Frank was born Feb. 13, 1930, at Aurora, the son of Gustave Ferdinand and Anna Mandalek Roepke. He graduated from Stanley Consolidated Schools in 1948. Survivors include his two children Jerry Albert (Darlene) Roepke, and Susan LaVon (Lee Woodman) Newell, both of Tucson; grandchildren Jeremy, Jeffery, Joel (Molly), Robin, Peter, Brandon (Amber), Matthew (Jenny), Jennifer (Mel), Zachary (Amy) Woodman, Russell (Erica) Woodman, Cody Newell; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Eli, Alexander, Taylor, Ryan, Isaiah, Jasmine, Kayla, Tanner and Russell; two brothers, Albert (LaVon) and Leonard, both of Aurora; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma; his parents; three brothers, Edward, Walter and Carl; one sister, Erna; and a sister-in-law Margret Roepke.
Frank will be remembered as always having a good story to tell and a good ear for listening. He touched many lives with his spirit of fairness and honesty.
