Feb. 13, 1951 - July 2, 2007 INDEPENDENCE - Linda M. Dale, 56, of Independence, died Monday, July 2, 2007, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa, following a sudden illness.
She was born Feb. 13, 1951, in Independence, the daughter of John Edward and Icil Marguerite (Murphy) Jensen. On Nov. 2, 1974, she and Larry Wayne Dale were married in Rock Falls, Ill. Linda cared for her family and in later years helped care for her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Larry; one daughter, Joan (Jason) Dale-Arnold, of Independence; three grandchildren; her mother, Icil Jensen of Winthrop; and two sisters, Pam (Bob Hughes) Jensen of Independence and Joan Cook of Canyon, Texas.
Private services will be held Thursday, July 5. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence. White Funeral Home is in charge.
