Dec. 5, 1931 - July 5, 2007 QUASQUETON - Warren L. Hughson, 75, of Quasqueton, died Thursday, July 5, 2007, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, following a short illness.
Memorial services will begin at 3 p.m. Monday, July 9 at the White Funeral Home in Quasqueton. Burial will be in Quasqueton Cemetery at a later date.
The family will greet friends and relatives after 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
He was born Dec. 5, 1931, in Oelwein, the son of LeRoy H. and Altive (Bliton) Hughson. He served in the Navy as a radar flight navigator during the Korean Conflict. On Nov. 21, 1953, he and the former Beverly Ann Hardman were married in Rockford, Ill. Warren was a quality engineer at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, before retiring in 1989. He was also an EMT with the Quasqueton First Responders and served on the Quasqueton City Council.
Survivors include his wife Beverly; four daughters, Deborah (Lawrence) Blockhus of West Union, Londa (Gary) Freer Marshall and Wanda (John) Thomas, both of Quasqueton, and Anita Hughson of Ladora; four grandchildren and one great granddaughter; two half-sisters, Patty (Bill) Morton of Belle Plaine, Neb., and Susan Burnett of Minnesota; one half-brother, Bryon Clark of Washington; and two stepbrothers, Ward Clark and Allen' Clark, both of Illinois.
