Independence — Gladys M. Westphal, 79 years old, of Independence, Iowa, formerly of Fairbank, Iowa, died on Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at the Buchanan County Health Center LTC in Independence following a long illness.
Mrs. Westphal is survived by two daughters, Bette (Richard) Brown of Fairbank, and Judy (Don) Main of Independence; and four sons, Ronald Westphal of Illinois, Gene Westphal of Jesup, Alan (Glenda) Westphal of Rowley, and Douglas (Valarie) Westphal of Fairbank; and many grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, December 21, 2007, at the United Methodist Church in Rowley, with Rev. Sheri Andersen officiating. Burial will be in Rowley Cemetery in Rowley, Iowa.
White Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements.
Friends may call from 4-8 PM on Thursday, Dec. 20, at the funeral home.
