JESUP - Funeral services for Larry G. Donlea will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, at the First United Methodist Church, Jesup. The family will receive friends Monday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the White Funeral Home in Jesup.
Mr. Donlea, 53, died Saturday, Dec.13, 1997, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, of an apparent heart attack.
He was born Sept. 6, 1944, in Independence, the son of Donald G. and Bernice E. (Peck) Donlea. He graduated from Jesup High School in 1962 and served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. On May 3, 1969, he married Jan I. Heine in Waterloo. The couple divorced in 1996. Mr. Donlea was a supervisor at Deere & Company, Waterloo, retiring in 1993. He then joined Monat Financial Services in Jesup as a certified financial planner and had been working for Deere & Company as a consultant. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pump-Scheer American Legion Post 342, the Jesup Lions Club, and was a past president of the Jesup Golf and Country Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Suzanne D. Donlea of Waverly , and Rachel L. Donlea of Jesup; four brothers, Don (Mort) and Jerry of Jesup, Michael (Mick) of Lompoc, Calif., and Brian of Universal City, Texas; and two sisters, Shery (Jim) Sheets of Pleasanton, Calif., and Glenda (Mike) Grant of Jesup.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Christopher. Memorials will be directed to the Jesup Golf and Country Club.
