JESUP - Funeral services for Robert A. Winblade will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at the American Lutheran Church, Jesup. Burial will be in Cedar Crest Cemetery, Jesup. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Tuesday or anytime Wednesday at the White Funeral Home, Jesup.
Mr. Winblade, 46, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 1997, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following an apparent heart attack.
He was born Nov. 28, 1950, in Des Moines, the son of Carl Donald and Mary Lucille (Rogers) Winblade. He graduated form Roosevelt High School, Des Moines, and attended Washburn University, Topeka, Kan. for one year. On Aug. 13, 1972, he married Patricia Annette Perez in Topeka. The couple have lived in Jesup since 1980. Mr. Winblade had worked as a sales representative for several companies including, Brown & Williamson Tobacco, Messer Distributing, Sears, and since 1993, had worked for Slumberland Furniture in Waterloo and Cedar Rapids. He was a member of the American Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; two sons, Matt and Mike, both of Jesup; one brother, Roger of Washington, D.C.; and one sister, Kathy Lubel of Houston, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial fund has been established for the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association.
