William L. Clue
JESUP - William L. Clue, 101, Jesup, died Sunday, July 6, 1997, at West Village Care Center, following a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery Independence. Friends may call Tuesday at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Survivors include his sister, Marjorie Thorn, Winthrop; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delpha, in 1995.
He was born Nov. 1, 1895, the son of Lewis and Nettie Clue. He married Delpha E. Menzel on Aug. 16, 1939, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The couple farmed in Buchanan County until retirement. He worked for six years at the Jesup Creamery, and did hand tiling for neighbors.
