JESUP - Funeral services for Eugene H. Rock will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, at the First United Presbyterian Church, Jesup, with burial in the Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Parker Funeral Chapel, Jesup, where there will be a Masonic service at 7 p.m. Friends may also call one hour before services at the church Wednesday.
Mr. Rock, 62, died at his home Monday, Sept. 22, 1997, of cancer. He was born Sept. 8, 1935, in Waterloo, the son of Harold A and Merna K. Kibler Rock. He married Judith A Baker on Feb. 28, 1960, in Preston, Minn. Mr. Rock was employed in the sub assembly stock room of John Deere Tractor Works for 30 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member and past worshipful master of the Saloam Lodge 22 A.F. & A.M., Jesup, and a member of the Independence Lodge 87 A.F. & A.M., Independence. He was also a member of the U.A.W 838 and the Sheriff s Reserves of Black Hawk County for nine years.
Survivors include his wife, Judith; two sons, Christian D. of Jesup, and Michael E. of Denver, Colo.; one daughter, Dolores Koch of Waterloo; two grandchildren; and his mother, Merna Rock of Waterloo.
He was preceded in death by his father.
