QUASQUETON - Ronald N. Hansen, 66, of Quasqueton, died Saturday, March 10, 2007, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids following a short illness.
Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, at the Hoover Wesleyan Church, rural Troy Mills. Burial: will be in Quasqueton Cemetery. White Funeral Home in Quasqueton is in charge of arrangements.
He was born May 26, 1940, in Independence, the son of Rueben and Gladys (Ritchie) Hansen. He was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Div., U.S. Army. On Aug. 31, 1963, he and the former Mary Joan Payne were married at the Union Church in Quasqueton. They divorced. He was employed at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, retiring in December 2001.
Survivors include: a friend, Mary Cerwick of Marion; one daughter, Rhonda (Mike) Kortenkamp of Center Point; one son, Mike (Jenny) Hansen of Walker; six grandchildren; one brother, Albert Hansen of Quasqueton; six sisters, Gladys Huber, Dorothy Freese, Ruby Elsbury and Myra Neal, all of Cedar Rapids, Eileene Sauer of Albernett and Elizabeth Rathel of Pensacola, Fla.
