HAZLETON - Funeral services for Jordan Matthew Parmely will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, at Christ United Presbyterian Church, Oelwein, with the Rev. John Kerr and the Rev. William Myers officiating. Burial will be in the Hazleton Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 until 8 p.m. today (Monday) at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, and one hour before services at the church Tuesday. Jordan, 3, died Friday morning, July 11, 1997, at University Hospitals, Iowa City, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident south of Oelwein Thursday morning.
He was born Feb. 11, 1994, in Waterloo, the son of Matthew and Lesa (Carrothers) Parmely. Jordan was a member of Christ United Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his parents, one sister, Brooke and one brother, Ryan, both at home; grandparents, Don and Freda Carrothers of Alburnett and John and Betty Parmely of Dundee; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
