WEST DES MOINES - Funeral services for Nathan Schaller of 12319 Wellington Ridge Drive, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, at Westover Baptist Church with Burial in Resthaven Cemetery, both in West Des Moines. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday at Westover Funeral Home, West Des Moines, where the family will greet visitors from 4 until 8 p.m.
Nathan, 14, died of cancer Monday, Sept. 15, 1997, at his home. He was born April 17, 1983 in Independence, the son of Gene and Diana Schaller. Nathan and his family have lived in West Des Moines for 10 years where he graduated from Indian Hills Junior High and was a student at Valley Southwoods High School. He was a member of Westover Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents; two brothers, David of Urbandale, and Andrew, at home; grandparents, Darlene Osborn of Muscatine and David and Arleta Schaller of West Union; and a great-grandfather, Firel Stokes of Muscatine.
