INDEPENDENCE-Funeral services for Beverly P. Martin will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept 21, at the White Funeral Home, Independence, with the Rev. Howard Mace officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m., today (Friday) at the funeral home. Mrs. Martin, 63, died at her home Wednesday, Sept.18, 1996, following a lengthy illness.
She was born July 2, 1933, in Chicago, the daughter of Harland and Fern Frances (Kawalski) Olson. On Nov. 10, 1962, she married Hank Martin in Waupaca, Wis. The couple moved to Independence in 1980. Mrs. Martin was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Hank of Independence; her mother, Fern Olson of Waupaca; six sisters, Addrenne Smith-Farra of Independence, Sandra Pavlovsky of Houston; Texas, Lana Eckland of Neenah,Wis., Diane Martin of Huntington, Tenn., Andrea McIntyre of Atlanta, Ga., and Cynthia Amundson of Mukwonago, Wis.; four brothers, Harland 'Sonny' Olson of Chapman, Kan., Algye L. Olson of Denver, Colo., Robert L. Olson of Knoxville, Tenn. and Duane 'Butch' Olson of Lake Geneva, Wis.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
