AURORA - Funeral services for Cora Randall will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 1, at Roberson Funeral Chapel, Strawberry Point, with burial in the Strawberry Point Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Randall, 100, died suddenly Tuesday, April 28, 1998, at Mercy Hospital of Franciscan Sisters, Oelwein.
She was born Jan. 5, 1898, in Cox Creek Township, the daughter of Michael and Emma Parsons Galer. She married Emmet Randall in 1924. Mrs. Randall taught country schools in the area. She had been a resident of Aurora since 1936.
Survivors include two special friends, Freda Riechers of Aurora, and Paul Hines of Arlington; two nieces and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Emmet in 1974; two sisters; and five brothers.
