STATE NEWS

The Independence Guardians of last Thursday says that on the day before, Mr. Ransom Bartle, of that village, presented the Editor with a sample of syrup and two samples of sugar made from Chinese sugar cane. The syrup was of a clear golden color, of good bod, and as good flavor as a tolerable article of refined syrup. It was manufactured in Ohio.
