WAVERLY — Renetta Leone Bolte, 90, of Waverly, died Thursday, Dec. 2, at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community.

She was born Oct. 28, 1920, near Frederika, daughter of Walter and Lydia Lau Buls. She married Clarence Bolte on May 20, 1940, at St. John's United Church of Christ-Siegel.

Mrs. Bolte and her husband farmed the Bolte family farm in Douglas Township for 25 years. They sold the farm and moved to Tripoli, where they owned and operated the Tasty Cream for the next five years. They sold that business and moved to Waverly, where she began working as a cook at Lutheran Mutual Life Co. (now CUNA Mutual), retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Waverly.

Survived by: her husband; a daughter, Rosemary (Clarence) Huck of Waverly; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Loretta (Herbert) Warnke of Sumner.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Harlan Buls.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, with burial in Harlington Cemetery, both in Waverly. Public visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
