Reaky Piegors, 99 dies at Hillcrest Home, Sunday
Memorial services were held Wednesday, Aug. 7, for Mrs. Reaky Piegors, 99, who died of complications of old age on Sunday, Aug. 4 at Hillcrest Home in Sumner. Burial was in the church cemetery with Rev. Keith Selberg officiating.Mrs. Piegors was born May 21, 1869 on a farm near Tripoli, the daughter of Mary and Andrew Carstensen. Her entire life was spent in or near Tripoli with the exception of the last three and one-half years when she was a resident of Hillcrest Home.
She was married to Carl Piegors on Feb. 19, 1890 in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Readlyn, by Rev. L. Lobeck.
Survivors include a son and daughter, Rudolph and Helen (Mrs. E. A. Kleiss) of Tripoli, three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
