SUMNER - Dorothy Elizabeth Henniges Lee, 89, of Sumner, died Thursday, Nov. 25, at Hillcrest Home in Sumner.

She was born Sept. 8, 1921, in rural Sumner, daughter of Earl and Justina Tegtmeier Webster. She married Edward J. Henniges April 30, 1941, at St. John Lutheran Church in Sumner. He died in November 1990. She married Darold W. Lee Aug. 28, 1993. He died March 18, 2004.

She graduated from Sumner High School in 1939. She farmed with Mr. Henniges southwest of Sumner for many years. She worked at Sumner Pack, McAloon's Super Value and Schemmel's Super Value, retiring in 1985. Mrs. Lee was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.

Survived by: a son, Kenneth (Janet) Henniges of Sumner; three daughters, Sharon (Kenneth) Kasemeier of Sumner, Joyce (Roger) Dedor of Jesup and Marilyn (Skip) Koenig of Pensacola, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; a niece and nephew; three stepsons, Lowell (Judy) Lee and Loren (Marlene) Lee, both of Schleswig, and Dwayne (Connie) Lee of Charter Oak; nine stepgrandchildren; and 11 stepgreat-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: two brothers, Edmund and Orville Webster; six nephews; two sisters-in-law; and a brother-in-law.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John Lutheran Church, with burial in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, both in Sumner. Public visitation from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Becker-Milnes Funeral Home, Sumner, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.
