DENVER — Violet Mae Bock, 79, of Denver, died Monday, Oct. 4, at Waverly Health Care Center, Waverly.

She was born May 31, 1931, in Bremer County, daughter of William and Margaret Nolte Fasse. She married Wilbert Bock on June 26, 1949, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Maxfield. He died in 1985.

Mrs. Bock graduated from Readlyn High School in 1949 and had worked in the Denver area and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Denver.

Survived by: two daughters, Mary (Ron) Dunlap of Stockton, Mo., and Sharon McElroy of Kansas City, Mo.; a son, Larry (Robin) of Kearney, Mo.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Virgil (Marlene) Fasse and Victor (Judy) Fasse, both of Waverly, and Venice (Sharon) Fasse of Cedar Falls; and a sister-in-law, Mick Fasse of Waverly.

Preceded in death by: a brother, Vernon Fasse.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both in Denver. Public visitation Wednesday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Denver, with family present 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorials: may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
