TRIPOLI - Erna Emma Blasberg, 90, of Tripoli, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, at Tripoli Nursing Home of natural causes.

She was born Dec. 12, 1919, in Fremont Township, Bremer County, daughter of Arthur and Bertha Traetow Bunger. She married Alfred Blasberg on Feb. 21, 1939, at St. John Lutheran Church (Crane Creek). He died in 2003.

Mrs. Blasberg and her husband farmed in the Tripoli area for many years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church (Crane Creek).

Survived by: two daughters, Marian (Larry) Noack of Cedar Falls and Gladys (Jim) Lohmann of Sumner; two sons, Donald (Kathy) and Duane (Jean Gienau), both of Tripoli; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Agnes Schlichting of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by: an infant granddaughter; and two infant brothers.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John Lutheran Church (Crane Creek), rural Tripoli, with burial in the church cemetery. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rettig Funeral Home, Tripoli, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials: may be directed to the church or Tripoli Nursing Home.
