DENVER - Laura E. Platte, 92, of Denver, died Thursday, Feb. 4, at Denver Sunset Home of natural causes.

She was born July 6, 1917, in Waverly, daughter of Ernest and Amelia Kaiser Westendorf. She married Clarence Platte on July 2, 1941, at Peace United Church of Christ, Waverly. He died Nov. 8, 2000.

Mrs. Platte was the business manager of Platte Truck Line.

Survived by: nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: four brothers, Arnold, Ernie, Erwin and Lester Westendorf; and four sisters, Irene Rahlf, Lenora Hattendorf, Lucinda Webster and Ellie Rathmann.

Services: 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul United Church of Christ, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both in Denver. Public visitation for an hour before services Saturday at the church. Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel, Waterloo, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials: may be directed to the church or Denver Sunset Home.
