Clara was born March 17, 1893 in Maxfield Township the daughter of Henry and Sophia Milius Westendorf.

She was baptized on April 3, 1893 at St. John's Lutheran Church at Maxfield and later confirmed there on Palm Sunday in 1907.

She attended Maxfield Township Schools and Parochial schools and then attended Wartburg Normal School in Waverly. She was also employed as a clerk at the Stumme Mercantile Store.

Clara married Edward J. Heideman on December 26, 1916 at St. Peter's by the Rev. Fred Schoenbohm. Clara and her husband farmed West of Denver for 43 1/2 years before retiring and moving to Denver in 1960.

She is survived by 3 sons, Loyd of Denver, Wilbert of Janesville, Marvin of Waverly, 2 granddaughters and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1970, her parents, 1 sister, Mrs. Walter (Ella) Ackerman and 1 niece.
