Dorothy "Dort" Cameron, 88 of Janesville, Iowa died on Sunday, March 3, 2002 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa of natural causes.

She was born on December 4, 1913 the daughter of George and Ella (Fitzgerald) Davis in Jackson Township, Bremer County, Iowa. She received her First Communion on July 2, 1922 and was Confirmed on May 9, 1929 both at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waverly, Iowa. Dort graduated from Shell Rock Consolidated school in 1932. Dorothy was united in marriage to Roy Stanley Cameron on February 2, 1935 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The couple made their home in Janesville, Iowa. She was employed as a secretary at the Riviera Ballroom for 35 years. Roy and Dort did not have any children of their own, but they raised Robert Bryan as their son.

Dort is survived by Robert Bryan and his wife, Carol of Waverly; nieces, Donna Britt and her husband, Paul of Janesville, Sally Wright of Harpers Ferry. Also by nieces and nephews, Deb, Jeff, Bryce and Kaitlyn Harp of Janesville, Sean, Stephen and Courtney Britt of Massachusetts, cousins, Aleen Venezia, Michael and Mary Ann Venezia, Kathy Venezia, John and Michelle Venezia and Jane and Cliff Wylie and their families all of New York. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy on October 2, 1976, her sister, Carrie Wright in January of 1981, a brother-in-law, Gail Wright in December of 1995 and a nephew, Bob Wright in August of 1999.
