Tractor Injuries Kill Tripoli Man
TRIPOLI--Injuries suffered Friday morning when he was pinned beneath a caterpillar tractor proved fatal early Tuesday morning for Lorenz Boevers, 50, of Tripoli.

Mr. Boevers died at 1:25 a.m. at Allen Memorial hospital in Waterloo.

He was injured about six miles northwest of Waterloo when the tractor he had loaded on a flatbed truck slid off the truck, pinning him under it.

Survivors include his widow Marie; three sons, Lloyd of Bettendorf; Duane of Oxnard, Calif.; and LeRoy at home; his father, Louis Boevers of Tripoli; two sisters, Mrs. Harold Miller of Tripoli; and Mrs. Woodrow Tessmer of San Jose, Calif.; and a brother, Harold of Orlando, Fla.

Mr. Boevers, a Navy veteran of World War II, was preceded in death by his mother and brother.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Grace Lutheran Church in Tripoli. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rettig funeral home at Tripoli is in charge of arrangements.
