Mrs. Roy Rathbone

SUMNER ---- Mrs. Roy Rathbone, 67, died Sunday morning at the Sumner hospital following a long illness. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Berg Funeral chapel with the Rev. E. M. Miller officiating. Burial was in Union Mound cemetery.

The daughter of George and Emelie (Lewis) Flood, she was born Dec. 1, 1889, in Aurora county, S.D. She was married to Roy Rathbone at Waterloo Nov, 20, 1911. The couple farmed northwest of Sumner.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Rathbone is survived by two sons, Albert Rathbone, at home, and Robert Rathbone of Tripoli; and six daughters, Mrs. Leonard Jarchow (Lucille) and Mrs. Ernest Schedtler (Patricia), both of Sumner, Mrs. Claude Campbell (Mercedes) of Sidney, Nebr., Mrs. William Levey (Betty) and Mrs. Harry Nielsen (Edith) of Waterloo, Mrs. Lyle Bowers (Carol) of New Hampton; 24 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
