WAVERLY ---- Ernest F. Schedtler, 72, of Waverly, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, at Waverly Municipal Hospital from complications of lung cancer; survivors include his wife, Pat; two sons, Richard E. of Twin Cities and Joel A. of Layfayette, Ind.; a daughter, Kathy Hampton of New Jersey; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marie Tegtmeier of Sumner; he was preceded in death by two sisters, Minnie Nuss and Irma Meyer; services will be 1 p.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Waverly, with burial in Union Mound Cemetery, Sumner; friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly and an hour before services at the church; memorials may be directed to Bremwood in Waverly; Mr. Schedtler was semi-retired owner/operator of Schedtler Distributing Company in Sumner; he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
