Funeral services for Roy Chester Waterman, 73, who died at 3:40 p.m., Sunday at his home in Waverly, of a heart attack, were conducted this (Wednesday) afternoon at the Kaiser Funeral home, Waverly. Burial was made at Fremont cemetery, Tripoli.
He was born in Leroy township, Bremer county, Iowa, and had lived in the vicinity of Tripoli and Waverly. In his early life he was engaged as a stone mason and later as a farmer.
On June 23, 1900 he was married to Jeanette Ward at Colfax.
Surviving are his wife of Waverly; one daughter, Mrs. Alice Gamm, Sioux City; two sons, E.D. of Waterloo and Gene of Clarksville. Two sons preceeded him in death.
Also surviving are two brothers, Calvin of Tripoli and Charles of Waverly; and one sister, Laura Collins of Waterloo. A brother and a sister preceded him in death.
