Sumner-Irene A. Oliver, 85, died Tuesday, July 29, 1997 in Iowa City, following a brief illness. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday. Becker-Milnes Funeral Chapel, Sumner. Burial Union Mound Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, and from 8 a.m. until services Saturday at the funeral home.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph of Denver, Colo., and Mark of Iowa City; three brothers, George Muether of Sumner, Aaron Muether of Decorah and Alfred Muether of Waterloo; and two sisters, Sylvia Schnurstein of Tripoli and Maria Austin of Los Angeles.
