MRS. GEORGE SHAFFER BROUGHT HERE FOR BURIAL
The remains of Mrs. George Shaffer were brought to Waverly Tuesday for burial in Harlington cemetery. Mr.s Schaffer was born in Cornwall, England, 74 years ago. She came to this country with her parents when but a child of 5 years of age. The family located in Michigan. In 1878 the move was made to Waverly, where the deceased continued to live up until eight years ago, when she moved to Seattle, Wash. It was there that she died. Last winter she suffered an attack of influenza and this resulted in continued ill health, from which there was never a complete recovery, and death came September 10, 1920.
Deceased is survived by four daughter, Mrs. O. A. Anderson, Nekoosa, Wis., Mrs. Earl Corey, Nashua, Iowa; Mrs. Rozella Staack, Waverly, and Mrs. F. C. Weatherby, Seattle, Wash.
The remains arrived in Waverly Tuesday and were taken to the home of Mrs. Staack, 310 S. Aspen street, where funeral services, conducted by Rev. John D. Clinton of the First Methodist church , were held Wednesday afternoon, interment following in Harlington cemetery.

Note: Elizabeth Ann's maiden name was Gilbert, daughter of John A. and Elizabeth Gilbert. Her first husband, by whom she had four daughters, was Richard Francis. They lived in Mineral Point, Iowa County, Wisconsin. She married George Carroll Shaffer on June 1, 1878.
