I am searching for information about my great-grandfather, Alexander Thomson, who moved to Boone Co., Iowa around 1881-2 from Pennsylvania and before that, Cambusnethan, Scotland. He moved with his sister and her family (John (Jake) Sellars. They were coal miners and probably continued this work in Iowa. Alexander met his wife, Alice Betty Stephens in Boone Co.
