Morris (Sherb) Sherbring, 84, Ogden, died Sunday at his home of heart failure. He was born April 21, 1918, in Maple River, the son of Frank Henry and Elizabeth B. (Riesselman) Sherbring.

He moved to Ogden in the late 1920s and graduated from Ogden High School with the class of 1937. He worked for Claussen's Texaco Service following graduation, then served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He and Hubert (Red) Rees purchased the Heinman and Kuhl Chevrolet dealership in Ogden in 1947. He became sole owner of Sherbring Chevrolet in 1954 and sold the business in 1994 when he retired. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Ogden and Edward J. Maas Post No. 55 of the American Legion in Ogden. He was a past member of the Ogden Lions Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Orville, in infancy. Survivors include his longtime friend, Maxine Rothfolk of Jefferson; one son, Michael Tiffany of Laguna Niguel, CA; Two sisters and one brother-in-law, Maria Ganse of Richland, WA and Marcella and Ted L. Ridgway of Omaha, NE; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Milton Sherbring of Omaha, NE and Merle and Betty Sherbring of Albuquerque, NM.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at St. John's Catholic Church with Msgr. James Lafferty officiating. Burial was in St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Ogden.

Carson Funeral Home, Ogden, was in charge of arrangements.
