Burial at Madrid

Services for Vernon B. Axmear,56, of 408 Logan St., Ankeny,will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Sunberg Funeral Home in Madrid with burial at Fairview Cemetery in Madrid.

Mr. Axmear died Monday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. He was born at Keswick and had lived in Ankeny for seven years. He was a sales representative for a school bus body manufacturer. Mr Axmear was a former coach at Roland and a former superintendent and coach at White Oak and Woodward-Granger schools.

Mr. Axmear was a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa and received his master's degree at Drake University. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Woodward and was a past worthy patron of O.E.S.

Mr. Axmear is survived by his wife, Wilma; his mother, Cora of Keswick,and a sister, Mrs. A. E. Bockes of Marshalltown.
