Schroeder Memorial Chapel Obituary

Steven Schroeder, age 60, of 1821 Tama Street in Boone, died October 6, 2011, at the University Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at 10 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Lindsay Watkins officiating. Burial will be in the Boone Memorial Gardens.

Steven was born in Boone on August 7, 1951, the son of Cleo and Naomi (White) Schroeder.

He graduated from Boone High School in 1969 and graduated from Boone DMACC.

On August 19, 1973, Steven married Pamela Jordan in Boxholm.

Steven was a tool and die maker for Innovative Injection Technologies in Des Moines where he had worked since 1972.

He enjoyed cars, hunting, antiquing, bird watching, and spending time with his family. Steven was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Corvette Club of Ames, and the NRA.

Steven is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Pam of Boone; three sons Nicholas and wife Erica of Cresco, Andrew and wife Amanda of Boone, and Benjamin and friend Brittney Linczer of Boone; two grandchildren, Colton and Dylan Schroeder; two sisters Carole Dunlap and husband Gerry of Bryan, Texas, and Janet Vaudt and husband Richard of Marshalltown; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law Priscilla and Dean Jordan of Boone.

Friends may call at the Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall on Tuesday from 2 until 8 p.m. where the family will be present from 6 until 8 p.m. Visitation on Wednesday will be at the Church from 9 a.m. until service time.
