WILENE JANE OLSON

Wilene Jane Olson, 95, passed away from this life on Friday, May 27, 2011 at the Madrid Home in Madrid. In agreement with Wilene's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.

A private memorial graveside service will be held for the family in Rippey, Iowa, at a later date.

Wilene was born on Aug. 24, 1915 in Beacon, Iowa, to William W. and Mary Jane (Halloway) Bass. She married Donald William McKinley on July 4, 1935 in Lancaster, MO, and their marriage was blessed with one son, James William "Bill" McKinley. Donald preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 1972. Wilene later married Raymond Olson on May 31, 1975 in Panora, IA, and expanded their families. Raymond also preceded her in death in June of 1996. Wilene was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was formerly employed as a Certified Nurses' Aide with Greene County Medical Center and later with the Madrid Home.

She is survived and lovingly remembered by her son, Bill (Sharon) McKinley of Bellingham, WA; stepson, Darrell (Doris) Olson of Elkhart, IA; stepdaughter, Diane (Ron) Ogle of New Virginia, IA; and a host of several step-grandchildren. Wilene was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Memorial contributions may be made to either: St. John's Lutheran Church or the Madrid Home.
