RUTH LUND

Ruth Lund, 88, formerly of Slater, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at the Madrid Home. Visitation was Sunday, Feb. 27 with a Memorial Service Feb. 28, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Slater.

Ruth was born in Woodward, Iowa on Jan. 29, 1923 to Joshua and Lola (Burkhart) Siglin. On March 17, 1946, she married Lloyd Lund who preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 2003. After retiring from the Story County Treasurer's Office she worked for Homeward Hospice.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (John) Frazer of Lyons, Colorado; son, Ben (LeAnn) Lund of Johnston; four grandchildren, Holly (Nick) Slater, Andrew and Todd Phillips, and Trevor Lund; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-mother, Eula Frantum; husband; brothers, William and Harold; sister, Berneta and infant daughter, Connie.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
