DEATH NOTICE

Former Madrid resident Elsie Ceccanelli Everett passed away recently in California according to Floyd Biondi. She was a retired nurse and also served in the military as a nurse. She graduated from Madrid High School in 1944.

Napa Valley Register, Feb. 3, 2011

Devoted sister and mother, Elsie passed away peacefully on Jan. 30, 2011 at Kaiser Permanente following a stroke. Predeceased by her loving parents, Joe and Laura Cecchenelli of St. Helena, she is survived by her sister, Darlene Cecchenelli of Santa Rosa; three children, Mark (Patricia) of Santa Rosa, Joseph of San Jose and Laura (Ray) Abe of Elk Grove; five grandchildren, Jessica, Alex, Sarah, Cameron and Garrett; and many cousins and dear friends.

Born Sept. 12, 1926 in Iowa, Elsie lived in the Napa Valley for the majority of her life. After earning her nursing degree, she served in the U.S. Army as a First Lieutenant. She spent 45 years as a Registered Nurse at Queen of the Valley, Kaiser and other hospitals. She spent many years as a member of the Italian Catholic Federation in St. Helena.

As requested by the deceased, no services will be held.
