Esther Wilhelmine Moeller, 89, of Boone and the Evangelical Free Church Home of Boone, entered into rest on Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004, at the Evangelical Free Church Home.

Esther was born Dec. 18, 1914, in Benton County, Iowa, to Henry August and Mary Dorthea (Scharnbacher) Haerther. She graduated from Atkins High School. Esther was married to Marvin Adam Moeller on Jan. 15, 1938, in Atkins, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her three brothers and her three sisters.

Esther is survived by her daughter, Janet Carol Hasstedt and husband Myron (Miney) of Des Moines; son, David Lee Moeller of Manchester; five grandchildren, Mark Hasstedt of Little Rock, Ark., Joel Hasstedt and wife Denise of Pulaski, Wis., Todd Hasstedt of Urbandale, Sherrie Taylor and husband Monte of Dallas, Texas, and Lani Moeller of Des Moines; five great-grandchildren, Ryan and Ashley Hasstedt of Pulsaki, Wis., and Nathan, Nichole and Joshua of Urbandale; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, Trinity Lutheran Church of Boone, with Rev. Lindsay Watkins officiating. Burial: Linwood Park Cemetery, Boone. Visitation: 12:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the church. Arrangements with Schroeder-Walter Funeral Home, Boone.

Memorials may be given to the Lutheran Home for Aged Foundation or the Evangelical Free Church Home.
