Services at Perry for Joseph McBride, formerly of Rippey.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, at the Fouch Funeral Home in Perry for Joseph McBride, 60, who died June 19 at Clarinda. The Rev. Ivan C. Bys, of the First Methodist Church in Perry, officated at the services. Burial was at Peoples Cemetery in Boone County.

Joseph was known by many in Rippey where he lived with his parents, during the time the late Rev. McBride was pastor of the First Baptist Church in Rippey and also later when he served the Peoples Baptist Church nine miles east of Rippey. Joe attended the Rippey school, graduating in the class of 1921. He had been living recently in Des Moines.

Survivors include four brothers, Russell G., Des Moines; Wendell, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Ralph, New Port Richey, Fla.; Donald, Phoenix, Ariz., and three sisters, Mrs. Beulah Smith, Fort Dodge; Mrs. Dale Jimerson, El Reno, Okla., and Mrs. Helen Leurs, Los Angeles, Calif.
