Obituary - Ogden Reporter, June 16, 2004

Funeral services for Julie Kay Tingwald, 39, rural Ogden, are Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 15 at the funeral home with the family present to greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m.

Ms. Tingwald died Saturday, June 12 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Julie Tingwald was born March 10, 1965 in Perry, the daughter of Kenneth W. and Judy Ann (Wolf) Tingwald. She graduated from Woodward-Granger High School in 1983 and attended Iowa Central Community College on the Webster City campus. Julie worked in Colorado for a time, then returned to Iowa and worked for the Polk County Department of Human Services. She then started her career with the Department of Soil and Water Conservation for the State of Iowa, working first in Des Moines and currently was working at Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) in Boone.

Julie was a member of United Evangelical Covenant Church in Harcourt and the Christian Motorcycle Association. She enjoyed singing, playing guitar and piano, and spending time with her family and fellow motorcycle riders.

Survivors include her mother, Judy Tingwald of Woodward; one brother, Keith and his wife Linda of Woodward; one sister, Wanda and her husband Craig Ott of Ogden; two nieces, Kristen and Courtney Tingwald; three nephews, Jason and Justin Ott and Garrett Tingwald; four uncles, John and his wife Loretta Wolf of Boone, David Wolf of Pilot Mound, Ronald Wolf of Chicago, and Duane and his wife Betty Tingwald of Woodward; and two aunts, Kayneta Ray of Boone and Margaret and her husband Don Peel of Perry.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1993.

Interment will be at Peoples Cemetery in Boone County. Hastings Funeral Home in Perry is in charge of arrangements.
