Raymond Swanson, 65, Ogden, died May 8 at the Vets Hospital in Des Moines.

He was born on October 10, 1912 to Elmer and Ida Swanson on a farm south of Ogden his entire life with the exception of the 3 1/2 years he spent in the Army. (This sentence was NOT mistyped, this is typed exactly as it appears in the obit.) On May 6, 1951 he married Opal Johnson. He was a member of the Swede Valley Lutheran Church in Ogden.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Opal and one son, Gary.

Services will be Thursday, May 11, at 10:30 a.m. at the Swede Valley Lutheran Church. Burial will be at the Swede Valley Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Carson Funeral Home on Wednesday noon until 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church.

The volume that this particular obit was found in is unknown, but the page # is 1. The title of the newspaper and the issue date are written in at the top of the obit.
