Mabel E. Postle, 86, South Bend, Ind., a former Boone resident, died Oct. 2, 1977, in the Cardinal Nursing Home in South Bend. She was born March 30, 1891, in Boone, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Elliott. She married Heck C. Postle, Sept. 24, 1914, in Boone.

Mabel was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a son.

Survivors include a son, J.F. Postle, South Bend, Ind.; a brother, Harry Elliott, Boone; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Linwood Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Stark-Welin Chapel Thursday morning from 10 to 11 a.m.
